There are several ways to save your game in Kingdom Come Deliverance. The catch is that the game strives to be as realistic as possible, so it won’t give you many opportunities to save. You can’t save whenever you want. Nearly all of the methods are in-world, and require you to either visit certain locations, or use certain items that you need to have on you. So, let’s get on with it.

The only times the game will autosave is when you pick up a new quest, or reach an important part in a quest you’re already doing. However, the problem here is that it won’t save your progress once you complete a quest. So, once you’re done with any given quest, make sure to pick another one up quickly in order for the game to save. Another speedy way to save the game is to drink the Savior Schnapps. That method does come with a few catches of its own, one of them being that the potion is fairly rare. One more way to save your game for free is to sleep in your bed for at least one hour. Don’t worry, you won’t have to go all the way back to the beginning in order to sleep. You’l discover more beds as you progress through the game. Same goes for the various campsites that you can come across. The game will automatically save when you camp. Then, there’s the classic RPG staple, sleeping at an inn. Sleep there for one night, and your game will save. Lastly, there’s the bathhouses. Pay them a visit, select one of the services, and your game will be saved.
